About PlanMyPresents

PlanMyPresents combines two related services: private gift coordination and a public library of thoughtful gift guides.

The private-list service helps organizers, recipients, and shoppers coordinate gifts without accounts or spoiled surprises. The public Gift Ideas library helps readers decide what might genuinely suit a person, occasion, interest, budget, or difficult gift-buying situation.

The editorial library is designed for reading and browsing. It does not automatically generate recommendations or publish articles. Each guide is researched, prepared, and reviewed before it is added to the site.

How our guides are researched

PlanMyPresents begins each guide with the recipient and the real decision a giver needs to make. Research may include official manufacturer and retailer information, current product specifications, compatibility requirements, membership and delivery terms, and authoritative safety, accessibility, or consumer guidance when relevant.

Sources are listed within a guide whenever they materially support its recommendations. PlanMyPresents does not claim to personally test every product mentioned. Named examples are researched using available official information and selected because they illustrate the guide's advice. Product details, prices, availability, and terms can change, so readers should confirm current information before purchasing.

How products are selected

A product or service is included only when it provides a useful, concrete example for that particular guide. Existing merchant relationships or available affiliate links are not, by themselves, reasons to recommend something.

Recommendations are evaluated for recipient fit, practical usefulness, compatibility, hidden requirements, personal boundaries, value beyond novelty, and whether the gift creates unwanted cost, work, clutter, or obligation. Not every recommendation requires a purchase. Experiences, assistance, shared time, and recipient-controlled choices are included whenever they offer better advice.

Editorial independence and affiliate relationships

PlanMyPresents may earn a commission when a reader purchases through certain product links. This does not increase the price paid by the reader. Affiliate eligibility does not determine the editorial conclusion of a guide. PlanMyPresents does not accept payment for rankings or undisclosed product placement. If sponsored material is ever published, it will be clearly identified.

Private lists are different

Gift ideas placed on private wishlists are supplied by the people using those lists. They are not selected, reviewed, ranked, or endorsed by PlanMyPresents. Private-list information is handled separately from the public editorial publication. Details are available in the separate Privacy Policy.
